The Insiders: All the Christmas stories you could ever want
The Grinch who Stole Christmas.‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Frosty the Snowman.
What do all of these Christmas stories have in common? Well, we can’t wait forever and since we have yet to hear the response we were looking for, it is once again up to us to answer our own question.
For the record, these classic tales are widely considered among the best Christmas stories ever told. And we mean ever. How could you not know that? Really, have you been hibernating each and every holiday season of your life? That was one of our easier questions yet.
Nevertheless, with the Christmas season so busy with parties, shopping and baking cookies (which any extras can be dropped off at our office), it is hard to fit in the time to read all of your seasonal favorites. Some make the cut while others must sit on the shelf, much like that elf, and wait another full year to be considered.
But if you are sick of making those difficult decisions when it comes to your evening reading material curled up with a blanket during the cold month of December, we have just the thing for you.
Put on your jackets, hats and mittens and head over to the Capitol Center for the Arts for Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!). The three-person show, featuring Christine Penney, Dan Beaulieu and Ed Batchelder, will take the stage tonight at 7:30 and guide the audience through all the great Christmas stories, as well as mix in holiday traditions from around the world, Christmas carols and seasonal icons.
Tickets are $15, and from everything we’ve read, it is worth every penny. Especially if you love Christmas stories as much as we do.
