The Insiders

The Insiders: This event is a joke. Actually, it’s a lot of them.

High school can be hilariously awkward, but tonight it can be just hilarious. Concord High School is hosting comedian Jim Colliton at 7, in an event put on by the CHS SOCK Homelessness Club. The club’s acronym stands for Save Our Cold Kids, and the $5 admission fee to the show will help the group do just that. Look at it this way: You could spend $5 to rent The Hangover VII: All These Jokes Are Really The Same Jokes, or you could drop the same amount to watch live comedy and help your community. Seems like an easy call to us. The show will be held in the Christa McAuliffe auditorium.

If you want a little magic with your comedy, stop at Red River Theatres tonight for Andrew Pinard: Discovering Magic at 8. The sleight-of-hand performance for adults features plenty of personality, and there’s also the chance you could pick up a few sweet tricks to dazzle coworkers at your office holiday party. If it’s music your after, we’ve got that covered, too – all the way from across the pond. St. Paul’s School is hosting the choir of Clare College in Cambridge, UK tonight at 7:30. The event is free.
