Public hearing on SAU 67 budget set for Monday night
The Bow and Dunbarton school boards will host a public hearing Monday night about the proposed SAU 67 budget, the first one under the new agreement that will send Dunbarton students to Bow for middle and high school.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Bow High School library. Members of the Bow-Dunbarton Transition Committee hammered out an $865,249 budget in October.
“We’ve put together a good document,” Bow Superintendent Dean Cascadden said. “It actually has less financial impact than if it was just Bow because of the cost sharing with Dunbarton.”
If approved at Monday’s meeting, Bow’s district would cover $728,546 of that total cost. Dunbarton would pay $132,363.
