The Insiders: The best Christmas display in Concord
Now that more than a foot of the lovely white stuff has been dropped on us over the past few days, it is starting to feel like Christmas.
With less than a week till Santa makes his way down the chimney (or through the back door), the time to embrace the holiday season is now. And what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to look at some pretty sweet decorations put out by complete strangers? By now we have all set up our indoor shrines to the holiday, but have you been around to see some of the outside displays?
All over our fair city, Concordians have strung lights and set up plastic and inflatable snowmen in their yards, but the best and brightest has to be at 77 Borough Road. It used to be one of a few displays on the street but is now the last one standing, and it would be hard to beat.
With close to three-quarters of an acre of Christmas awesomeness, it is a sight you must see to believe. And trust us, there is no way you could miss it if you drive in that direction after 5 p.m. The astronauts at the International Space Station can probably see it. Plus don’t forget to tune into 107.9 FM as you drive by the house, as the lights move to the beat of 20 holiday classics.
If you’re in the mood for a movie, head on over to the library for the free monthly movie night. We can’t tell you what it is, but it is festive. But if you’re one of those people who don’t like surprises, just call the library at 225-8670 and someone will let you in on the big secret.
