The Insiders: It’s like mom always said, use the Super Buddies system
We were always under the impression that the phrase was “many happy returns.” Based on what we’ve usually seen in the hustling and bustling days following Christmas, though, we’re beginning to think it’s many grumpy returns. Here’s hoping the Christmas spirit didn’t hop on Santa’s sleigh and cruise back to the North Pole already (with a quick stop at Sonic on the way, of course). Be nice to each other, and be careful out there – it might be a gift-exchanging madhouse! Thankfully there’s a couple of activities on the schedule today to keep you away from the long lines and poor retail workers with steam coming out of their ears.
For one, you can visit the Concord Public Library today at 2:30 for the Super Buddies movie. It’s a Disney film that we believe features a flock of super cute puppies, so it’s probably a safe bet for some smiles. If our rudimentary Google search can be trusted, it’s the seventh installment of the Air Buddies franchise, which is not the same as the Air Jordan franchise, though there were about seven installments of Mike’s career, too. For more information (on the movie, not Michael Jordan), call 225-8670 or visit concord publiclibrary.net.
Also today, Nobody’s Fault will be playing at Makris Lobster House beginning at 8:30. You have to give the band credit for its name – good luck finding a way to blame them if you don’t enjoy yourself. The name was selected after rejecting several other similar options, such as It’s Totally Your Fault and It’s Obviously Not Our Fault. There is no cover charge for the show, and you can learn more by calling 225-7665 or by visiting eatalobster.com.
