Local artist takes center stage at gallery

The historic Riverside Gallery at Belknap Mill in Laconia is set to come alive with the vibrant and captivating artworks of local artist, Stephanie McQuade. The artwork will be on display until Jan. 31 and Gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The artist’s reception is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., the public is welcome.

McQuade, known for her watercolor on canvas and pastel art, has earned the spotlight at the prestigious Belknap Mill. Her works, from whimsical pieces to lovely landscapes, promise to captivate art enthusiasts.

The mill’s rustic charm and historic ambiance provide the perfect backdrop for Stephanie’s visually stunning collection. With exposed beams and traditional architecture, the venue forms a harmonious contrast to the colorful art that adorns its walls, creating an immersive experience.

The artist’s reception will allow the community members to meet the artist and engage in conversations about her creative process.

The evening will officially kick off at 5 p.m., with guests welcomed to explore the gallery, sip on a glass of wine, and indulge in light refreshments.
