Police seek help in Penacook pharmacy robbery

The police are asking for public help while they continue to investigate a Monday afternoon robbery at Penacook Pharmacy.

Concord police Lt. Timothy O’Malley said yesterday afternoon the department has received numerous tips related to the robbery. “We did get a lot of tips about people we should look at. Nothing specific, though. We still very much would like to get information from the public,” O’Malley said.

According to the police, a masked man walked into the pharmacy at 305 Village St. at approximately 4:45 p.m. and ordered one of the employees to lie on the ground before demanding prescription drugs.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 white man weighing approximately 160 pounds.

There is no indication the suspect ever brandished a firearm, O’Malley said.

The police have not released the type – or the amount – of prescription drugs stolen from the store. “Right now, we’re not going to comment on that,” O’Malley said

The police are asking anyone with information to contact the Concord police at 225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
