Sex offender arrested, charged with molesting boy in Concord
A 69-year-old registered sex offender from Antrim has been arrested and accused of molesting a boy in Concord several times during the first two weeks of January.
Max Wilson was detained Thursday and charged with six misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and two felony counts of unauthorized child-care services, said Concord police Lt. Timothy O’Malley. In a statement, O’Malley said Wilson had offered to tutor the boy without telling the child’s family he is a registered sex offender. The family eventually became suspicious and discovered his criminal history online, O’Malley said.
O’Malley said the assaults occurred in various restaurants and shops. The boy’s age was not disclosed. Wilson’s arrest was part of a joint investigation among the Concord, Hopkinton and Antrim police departments, O’Malley said.
Wilson was due to be arraigned yesterday in Concord’s district court. The police are asking that anyone with information contact them or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
