Breaking News: Concord couple killed in Hillsboro car crash
A Concord couple was among the four people killed yesterday evening in a car crash in Hillsboro.
Donald and Brenda Mary Robb of East Side Drive were headed east on Route 202/9 when their Toyota Camry collided with a Subaru Forester headed in the opposite direction. The couple in that car, Richard and Mary Monahon were also killed. The Hillsboro police said one of the cars crossed the center line and hit the other head-on. The police are still trying to determine which vehicle crossed over and why.
The police have said alcohol is not suspected as a factor.
Donald Robb, 68, died at the scene. Brenda Mary Robb, 62, was rushed to Concord Hospital and air lifted to a Boston hospital, where she later died, the police said. Richard Monahon, 69, and Mary Monahon, 71, died at the scene, the police said.
Donald Robb was a retired state employee. Brenda Mary Robb was a retired Concord school teacher. She served on the city’s library task force and was currently serving on the city’s Board of Ethics.
The Monahons were architects in Peterborough.
The police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Hillsboro police at 464-5512.
