Bon Appetit recently named North Hampton nanobrewery Throwback Brewery one of the Top 10 nanobrews in the country.
A nanobrewery is a very small brewery operation which usually runs with fewer than a four beer barrel brew system. They often turn into microbreweries or brewpubs.
According to Throwback’s website, its goal “is to acquire most of our ingredients (such as hops, wheat, barley, fruit, and spices) from local farmers. While we are not quite there today, it is our vision that eventually 100% of our ingredients will be sourced locally, including the malt.”
So we learn something new everyday right? Well, today I learned I want to try a Throwback.
In other news:
∎ The Balsalms Grand Resort got the okay from the planning board for a $35 million renovation.
∎ I also learned Jumanji was filmed in New Hampshire. If you’re interested in learning about the other films shot in the Granite State, give the film tour a try.
