Allenstown farmers win award, use of brand-new tractor

Chris and Danielle LaValley of Allenstown reaped a mighty haul this month, when they won the 2012 New Hampshire Farm Bureau Young Farmer Achievement Award.

The couple, owner operators of LaValley Farms in Allenstown, received the keys to a new Kubota tractor from Mike Snide of Pinnacleview Equipment, to celebrate their title, awarded in November.

They will be able to use the Kubota LA1353 tractor with loader for six months or 250 hours, whichever comes first.

Kubota Tractor Corp. and Pinnacleview Equipment in Walpole have been presenting tractors to New Hampshire Farm Bureau Young Farmer Achievement Award winners since 1992.

To be eligible for the annual honor, farmers must be members in good standing with their county Farm Bureau and actively engaged in farming with the majority of income coming from production agriculture. The state winners are chosen based on their efforts in the growth and progress of the farm as well as their Farm Bureau involvement.
