Poll: Shaheen in good shape ahead of 2014 election

A poll out today from Dartmouth College’s Nelson A. Rockefeller Center shows U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in good shape, 18 months before she’s up for re-election.

Shaheen is popular in New Hampshire, according to the poll: 46 percent of respondents said they have a favorable opinion of the Democrat, versus 22 percent with an unfavorable opinion. That’s up from a year ago, when 40 percent had a favorable opinion and 29 percent had an unfavorable opinion.

In a 2014 matchup with former Massachusetts senator Scott Brown, Shaheen would lead with 44.2 percent to 29.5 percent for Brown, with 26.3 percent unsure. Against state Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley, Shaheen would lead with 47.9 percent to 25.2 percent for the Wolfeboro Republican, with 26.9 percent undecided.

The “State of the State” poll of 433 registered voters was taken April 22-25 and has a margin of error of 4.7 percent. It surveyed New Hampshire voters on a wide range of questions, from 2016 presidential picks to opinions on the Northern Pass, marijuana decriminalization and expanded gambling.

Here’s the full release (PDF) from Dartmouth, including the poll’s methodology.

she has kabillions in her re-election fund....prepare for a flood of negative ads

It doesn't look like she's in good shape to me.

Since when is a incumbent way below 50% a good sign. It looks like the Monitor is going to be head cheerleader for Jeanne Jeanne the liberal spending machine again. Look for a long list of Shaheen puff pieces coming. Just think, how has the economy been since Shaheen been since Shaheen has been elected. If you said horrible figure it out.
