Temperature in Concord ties record high of 95 degrees

The temperature in Concord hit 95 degrees yesterday, tying the city record for the date.

Yesterday’s high of 95 tied the record high for Sept. 11 set in 1983, according to the National Weather Service.

The heat should fade in the coming days, according to the weather service. A high of 87 was forecast today, and a high of 70 was expected tomorrow.
