Police identify 2 who drowned in Hampton River
The police said the two men whose bodies were pulled from the Hampton River within about an hour of each other both drowned.
The police have identified the men as 57-year-old Mark Classen and 53-year-old Bruce Menezes, both of Hampton.
Authorities said the first body was reported just before 11 a.m. Friday. After recovering the body using a small boat, the police spotted a second man’s body in the water about noon.
The results of the autopsies were released yesterday. The police said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
