No surprise: Broncos-Patriots stays in prime time

No surprise: Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are staying on Sunday night.

The NFL announced its Week 12 plans yesterday. Starting the previous Sunday, the league has the option to switch the prime-time game for a more appealing matchup under its flexible scheduling policy. But the Nov. 24 meeting between Manning’s Broncos and Brady’s Patriots in New England is as tantalizing as ever.

Denver is 8-1 heading into Sunday’s division showdown against undefeated Kansas City. The Patriots are right behind in the AFC playoff race at 7-2 going into Monday night’s game at red-hot Carolina.

The Broncos will play on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” two straight weeks.

Manning is 4-9 against Brady with Indianapolis and Denver.
