Man charged after car crashes into police cruiser in Manchester

A driver was charged with driving while intoxicated after the New Hampshire State police said his car crashed into the passenger side of a parked police cruiser with a trooper inside.

The police said the car did not stop Thursday night. Sgt. Bryan Trask, who was inside the cruiser, pursued and stopped it a short distance from a bridge that crosses Interstate 293 in Manchester. Trask was not hurt.

John Kordas, 41, of Litchfield also was charged with conduct after an accident and possession of an open container. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
