Concord police log

∎ Mark Lufkin, a 38-year-old homeless man, was arrested Feb. 5 and charged with simple assault. Lufkin died on April 6 and his death is currently under investigation by the Concord Police Department. The police said an officer responded to a call of a fight in action and saw Lufkin strike a man in the face. The police said Lufkin was upset with one of the men involved because he had been talking to Lufkin’s ex-wife. The man reported that Lufkin had punched him in the face several times. At the time Lufkin denied hitting anyone and claimed he was acting in self defense. The police said Lufkin was cooperative. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court March 12.

∎ Kayla Grady, 18, of Hopkinton was arrested March 3 and charged with theft after the police said she stole several beauty products from the Walmart on Loudon Road. Grady was issued a summons to appear in court April 29.

∎ Jonathan Cappucci, 18, of Graham Road was arrested March 24 and charged with vandalism, resisting arrest or detention and unlawful interference with a fire apparatus. The police said Cappucci was found to have sprayed several vehicles in the Capital Commons garage with a fire extinguisher. He was released on a $4,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court April 29.

∎ Travis Clark, 17, of Bee Hole Road in Loudon was arrested March 24 and charged with vandalism, resisting arrest or detention and unlawful interference with a fire apparatus. The police said Clark was found to have sprayed several vehicles in the Capital Commons garage with a fire extinguisher. He was released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court April 29.

∎ Abraham Roz, a 32-year-old homeless man, was arrested April 1 and charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, two counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and two counts of receiving stolen property. The police said Roz was arrested after a woman reported that her prescription medication had been taken. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court May 5.

∎ Jessica Labelle, 30, of Second Street was arrested April 4 on a bench warrant. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court May 6.

∎ Andrea Demeritt, 26, of Elm Street was arrested April 4 and charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. The police said a man reported that Demeritt had held a knife to his head, thrown items around an apartment and threatened to kill him. The man reported that his son was on his lap during the incident. Bail was set at $15,000 cash. She was scheduled to appear in court the following day.

∎ Frank Lucia, 23, of Gilmanton was arrested April 5 on a bench warrant issued by Lebanon’s district court for nonpayment of fines. He paid the $205 fine and was released.

∎ William Milne, 66, of Wyman Street was arrested April 5 at the Concord Police Department where he turned himself in on a warrant
and was charged with simple assault. The police said the incident took place April 2 at 15 Wyman Street. Milne
was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court May 6.

∎ Justin Vappi, 25, of Governor Wentworth Highway in Moultonborough was arrested April 5 and charged with being in possession of controlled drugs and falsifying physical evidence. The police said Vappi was arrested by an officer responding to the Sam’s Club parking lot for a report of a man in a car overdosing on drugs. Vappi waved the officer down, then told the officer that the man who was unconscious had injected himself with heroin while they were driving. The police said a caller had also reported seeing a man get out of that car and put something in the bushes nearby. The police said Vappi admitted to putting some empty beer cans in the bushes. But the police then found a black backpack in that area. The backpack had several packets of heorin, a spoon and several needles inside, the police said. Vappi was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance and scheduled to appear in court June 3.

∎ Clifton Bradford, 29, of Fisherville Road was arrested April 5 on a bench warrant issued by Manchester’s district court for not paying a fine. He was released on a $250 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court April 22.

∎ Ryan Carson, 26, of East Side Drive was arrested April 5 and charged with violation of a protective order an default or breach of bail conditions. He was not given bail and scheduled to appear in court April 8.

∎ John Charnley, 23, of West Parish Road was arrested April 6 by the Hillsboro Police Department on a Concord Police Department warrant and charged with two counts of criminal liability for the conduct of another. He was released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in court May 6.

∎ Jane Shaw, 56, of Boscawen was arrested April 6 and charged with consumption of liquor on private property after the police said she was observed drinking alcohol in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Hess station on Hall Street. Shaw was issued a summons to appear in court May 13.
