Concord police to conduct sobriety checkpoint next week

The Concord police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the city next week.

In a press release, the police said drinking and driving is responsible for “an alarming number of deaths” and accidents, and that checkpoints have proven an effective means to catching drunken drivers.
