Police seek help in identifying man lurking in Concord D’Angelo back room
The Concord police are looking for help identifying a man who they say was seen lurking in the back room of the South Main Street D’Angelo sandwich shop about the same time an employee’s laptop bag was stolen.
According to the police, an employee at the restaurant reported that her bag – and the laptop, cell phone and digital camera inside – were stolen from the store July 9. She told the police that the bag, which had been located in an employee-only area, was taken while she left the location from about 3 to 4 p.m.
Surveillance camera footage shows a man entering the restaurant through a back door about 3:05 p.m., the police said. According to the police, the man appears to check the area to see if anyone has seen him and then walks toward the employee-only area. He then goes out of view of the camera and isn’t seen again, the police said.
The man, described as about 40 years old, is being called a “person of interest” by the police. In the video, he is seen wearing a Boston Red Sox hat, a dark colored shirt, cargo shorts and sandals.
