AG releases report on N.H. man who killed son, self
A New Hampshire man who killed himself and his 9-year-old son during a supervised visit at the Manchester YWCA emailed his neighbors sometime before the shootings and told them there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.
The email Muni Savyon sent to his neighbors was included in a report issued yesterday by the attorney general’s office. The report also says Savyon shot his 9-year-old son, Joshua, six times before turning the gun on himself Aug. 11.
Savyon had been scanned by a handheld metal detector for previous visits at the YWCA but was not before the fatal shooting. Workers told investigators that they were “loose” with enforcing the policy after losing funding to hire police officers for security, and they weren’t sure what they would do if someone had a gun.
