Artwork selected for invitations

The superintendent of schools recently invited students in the Concord School District to submit art for the opening celebrations of the new elementary schools. Thank you to the 54 creative Concord students who submitted their drawings!

We are pleased to announce that 7th grader Ella Fabozzi’s drawing was chosen from these entries. Her art will appear on invitations and flyers. Congratulations to Ella.

On Sunday, each of the three new elementary schools will hold an open house for the public from noon to 4 p.m. with guided tours.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Mill Brook School (kindergarten through second grade) will be at noon at 53 S. Curtisville Road. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Christa McAuliffe School (kindergarten through fifth grade) will be at 1:30 p.m. at 17 N. Spring St. and the ceremony for Abbot-Downing School (kindergarten through fifth grade) will be at 3 p.m. at 152 South St. The public is invited to attend.
