Because of the school holiday, Jessica Pollack brought her three kids to the Concord Community Music School’s early childhood programs on Friday morning. While she sat with Ethan, 2, her youngest, in her lap singing songs about animals in the forest, her other kids, Emily, 6, and Andrew, 9, sat nearby engaging with the songs and games. All of the Pollack children came to the music school at Ethan’s age. “It’s a spiritually uplifting way to start the day,” said Heather Oberheim, a music and movement instructor at the school, who’s leading classes like the day’s “Move, Shake and Sing” for 12 years. The class revolves around group instrument playing, lots of dancing and learning about nature and nurture.
