3D printing system added to UNH Innovation Lab

University of New Hampshire students will soon be prototyping new products in a matter of hours, thanks to a new 3-D printer.

The new printer and 3-D scanning system are part of the recently launched Innovation Lab at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.

Officials said developing a prototype for a new product typically takes months, and entrepreneurs usually have nothing to show during their market research phase. But the new equipment will allow them to create 3-D prototypes that can be refined based on customer feedback.
