Reports: Celtics add free agent guard/forward Evan Turner
According to multiple reports, and first reported by the Boston Herald, the Boston Celtics agreed to a deal with free agent swingman Evan Turner.
The 25-year-old Turner was drafted second overall in 2010 by the Philadelphia 76ers, remaining with the team until a trade to Indiana at the deadline last year. He has averaged 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his career, and was averaging a career-high 17.4 points with Philadelphia at the time of the trade to the Pacers. He started only two games and averaged 7.1 points with Indiana.
Turner was a two-time Big Ten scoring champion at Ohio State, and was the 2010 National Player of the Year.
