Lynne Parker named executive director of N.H. Legal Assistance

Lynne Parker has been named as the new executive director of New Hampshire Legal Assistance.

Parker, who will move into the role Aug. 1, will take over for John Tobin, 65, who in January announced his retirement. Tobin has been with the organization for nearly 40 years and has been its executive director for the last 18.

Parker has been NHLA’s deputy director for nine years. She has an expertise in housing discrimination and language access, and has worked at NHLA since 1999. She grew up in Concord and graduated from University of New Hampshire School of Law.

NHLA is a nonprofit civil legal aid program that serves low-income clients in individual cases. The organization has offices in Concord, Manchester, Berlin, Claremont and Portsmouth and serves more than 3,300 clients and families each year.
