N.H. News Roundup: Easter weekend looks bright, UNH takes on Denver

Easter weekend is upon us, and I know for me at least, it always brings up good memories.
Every year before Mass on Easter Sunday, my three brothers and I would always scour the yard for eggs strategically placed by my mother the night before. As we got older and stayed out later, we were instructed to ignore any brightly colored plastic, but I’m sure I speak for the rest of the crew when I say I documented the exact locations of each prematurely found egg for the morning rush. Our eggs were ours to keep, assuming our bullish black Lab, Moose, didn’t find them first.
We also used to dye our eggs as a family in the weeks leading up. Then we’d eat the hard-boiled eggs during Easter brunch (and some later salads if we got dye-crazy).
To this day, my wonderful mother still sends me (and now my fiance too) an Easter basket. This year we each got a Snickers and a Crunch egg, some jelly beans, a chocolate bunny and decorations for our mantle. So in case I don’t say it enough, THANKS MOM!
Don’t be fooled if you think our household is hogging all the Easter fun, though – there’s plenty of Easter to go around this weekend here in the Granite State, too!
