9:40 p.m.: The attorney general’s office is investigating two “suspicious” deaths after a deceased male and female, both adults, were found at about 11 am. today at 20 Sunset Drive in Belmont, according to a press release.

Autopsies will be conducted tomorrow, according to the release. The individuals names have not been provided.

4:43 p.m.: Jeff Strelzin, head of the attorney general’s homicide unit, has confirmed that his office is conducting a death investigation at a home on Sunset Drive in Belmont. He declined to provide details – such as whether the investigation is into a single or multiple deaths – and said it would be several hours before further information is available.

2:35 p.m.: The state police major crimes unit and officials from the New Hampshire attorney general’s office are currently gathered at a home in Belmont. Officials are offering no information at this time.

Jeff Strelzin, chief of the attorney general’s homicide unit, is at the scene on Sunset Drive but declined to say if the office is investigating a homicide. He said he would be able to release more information in a few hours and said the situation is developing.

At about 2:15 p.m., a reporter was told to back away from the crime scene tape that blocked off the street for her own “safety.” A few moments later, after no visible activity, she was cleared to reenter the street.

Sunset Drive, which is just off of Route 11 in Belmont, is currently blocked off at Winnisquam Marine.
