Belmont man charged with robbing Concord Moose Lodge

A Belmont man has been charged with robbing the Concord Moose Lodge early yesterday, the police said. Harold Williams, 66, turned himself in at the Concord police station last night after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was charged with robbery, released on a $100,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Concord’s district court.

According to the police, an older white male entered the 170 N. State St. lodge early yesterday morning, showed a knife and took an unspecified amount of cash. The police said he fled in a newer model station wagon.

A warrant was issued for Williams’s arrest and he turned himself in at the police station at 6:52 p.m. yesterday, the police said.
