A car collided with a tanker truck on Route 106 in Concord yesterday morning, injuring three people.

The tanker, an Irving Oil truck, rolled over after a collision with a car near the intersection of Sheep Davis and Haines roads at 7 a.m. yesterday, according to the Concord Fire Department.

The 55-year-old female driver of the car and an 8-year-old passenger were both transported to Concord Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, said Concord police Lt. Timothy O’Malley. The truck driver, a 48-year-old male, was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The police did not release their names yesterday, nor did they have additional information about the crash. O’Malley said the police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

A small amount of oil was spilled when the truck rolled over, said fire Chief Dan Andrus. Irving Oil crews responded to the scene, though Andrus said the spill was “probably just a few gallons.”

The area was closed for several hours yesterday while officials cleaned up and removed the damaged vehicles.
