This year, the town of Webster extended its Old Home Day celebrations. On Monday, the town’s board of selectmen – Bruce Johnson, Roy Fanjoy and Mason Donovan – brought the Old Home Day spirit to their bimonthly meeting by donning 1860s attire. At the opening of the meeting, Fanjoy jokingly thanked the crowd of about 30 people at the old meeting house for filling out their 1860 census. He also reminded folks to stay informed in this election year, so as to find a good successor to President James Buchanan.
