Police: Hillsboro woman arrested in Concord for drunken driving while daughter, 7, was in vehicle
A Hillsboro woman was arrested yesterday afternoon on Interstate 93 after the state police said she was driving drunk with her 7-year-old daughter in the vehicle.
Stephanie Pelletier, 41, was arrested near Exit 16 on I-93 in Concord and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, subsequent offense; endangering the welfare of a child; and having an open container.
Her Honda CR-V was reported driving erratically on Route 115 in Twin Mountain, about 85 miles north of Concord, at 11:19 a.m., the state police said in a news release.
Local police officers were unable to locate her, as were the police in Franconia Notch after a 911 call came in at 12:06 p.m. that reported the same vehicle driving erratically there, the state police said.
A third report about the SUV driving erratically came in at 2:01 p.m., placing it on I-93 southbound in Northfield, the police said. A state trooper then stopped the vehicle, with Pelletier and her 7-year-old daughter inside, in Concord, and Pelletier was arrested, the police said.
Pelletier was released to a family member on $4,500 personal recognizance bail, the police said. She’s due to be arraigned Sept. 9 in Concord’s district court.
A phone number for Pelletier couldn’t be located yesterday.
