Strafford men accused of illegally killing deer
Two men from Strafford are facing a charge of illegally killing a deer.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said an anonymous tip led to the investigation and arrests. They said Eric McNeil and Robert Weeks are facing a charge of taking a deer during the closed season.
Conservation Officer Justin Ferland said the deer was a fawn.
McNeil also was arrested on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and manufacture of a controlled drug. Authorities said they found marijuana plants on the property.
