BREAKING: Teen arrested after October crash that killed two on Clinton Street
Police have arrested a 17-year-old Concord resident on charges he falsified evidence after the car he was driving struck another car last October on Clinton street, killing two people, including a 7-year-old girl.
Jacob Veroneau of Hooksett Turnpike turned himself in today and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. The police said Veroneau deleted text messages after they asked him about his texting activity just prior to the accident. Police also said no charges are expected against Veroneau in connection with the two deaths.
Jesse Wolfe, 31, of Concord was pronounced dead at the scene, and 7-year-old Kyara Mailhot of Manchester, the daughter of Wolf’s girlfriend, died from head injuries two weeks later. Police say Wolfe’s failure to yield as he pulled onto Clinton Street was the primary cause of the crash.
Veroneau will be arraigned on May 6 at Concord’s district court.
