BOSCAWEN town crier

Check out the library on vacation week

If you are looking for school vacation ideas, check out the different activities offered at the Boscawen Public Library this week. A Disney/Pixar movie will be shown Tuesday at 2 p.m. Challenge your family and friends to build the craziest object at the LEGO Building Contest on Thursday at 2 p.m. Passes are available to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center and SEE Science Center. More passes are coming in May, including one for Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth.

∎ The secret is out at 109 High St. at the ribbon-cutting event for Park Place opening on Thursday at 11 a.m. Feel free to come take a look at the newly renovated offices. There will be snacks, drinks and an actual ribbon will be cut. The building, across from National Lumber on Route 4, is almost done being fully renovated into affordable offices for rent. This opportunity creates an affordable solution for small-business owners to bring their business to the next level and prosper to its fullest potential. Park Place is not even open yet and has already brought in a small business from Concord to Boscawen.

∎ A Clean-Up Boscawen Day is planned by the Parks and Recreation Committee for Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to celebrate Earth Day Week. Meet at the town municipal offices at 9 a.m. with your trash bags, barrels, rakes, gloves and whatever else you need to help clean up Boscawen’s landscape. Give Selectman Craig Saltmarsh a call at 753-8355 if you have questions.

∎ The last Bingo game of the season is Saturday at Boscawen Town Hall (basement of the Congregational Church) culminating with
the annual cook-out. Lunch
is served at noon for $10,
and it will be followed by an afternoon of Boscawen
Bingo, games and prizes, and a 50-50 raffle. No one 17 and under can be admitted to the games.
