N.H. governor signs bill to set up energy council

Gov. Maggie Hassan has signed a bill that will establish an energy council to develop a state energy strategy.

She said the council created in the Senate bill will examine and address the supply and demand for energy needs, access to natural gas, the state’s role in the regional electricity market, and the role of efficiency. It will develop a 10-year strategy.

The measure was signed into law Tuesday.
