Jeb Bradley says he won’t run for U.S. Senate or statewide office in 2014
State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley will not run for the U.S. Senate or governor in 2014.
Bradley, a Wolfeboro Republican, had been considered a potential GOP candidate against Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, and recent speculation had centered on a possible run against first-term Gov. Maggie Hassan.
But Bradley told the Monitor this afternoon that two relatives have become seriously ill, so he has to focus on his family and can’t devote attention to a race for statewide office.
He said he will remain in the New Hampshire Senate, but said it was “premature” to say whether he would run for re-election in 2014.
