9 N.H. companies get job training grants worth $104K

Nine companies are getting more than $104,000 in job training grants.

A total of 223 workers will develop new skills with the help of the grants. The nine companies will match the funds, bringing the total to more than $209,000.

Gov. Maggie Hassan said the state’s Job Training Fund has helped thousands of workers get more training and education for 21st century jobs.

The fund has awarded $6.6 million in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $9.2 million. A total of 19,784 New Hampshire workers have benefited.
