Peadling for Payson fundraiser brings in $152,000
The more than 300 participants in the Pedaling for Payson fundraiser in September raised more than $152,000 for cancer patients, almost $40,000 more than the organizers’ goals.
The 306 event participants raised $90,756 of those monies through peer to peer fundraising. The rest was raised through corporate sponsorships and in-kind donations.
The money will be given to the Gene Gillis Fund to support patients at the Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care with out-of-pocket expenses such as transportation, prescriptions and supplements.
