Local business people in the news for Dec. 17

ANDREA JOHNSTONE of Hopkinton and TIMOTHY MARTIN of Laconia were elected as corporators at the Bank of New Hampshire. Johnstone joined Elliot Health System as a senior vice president and general counsel in March. She currently serves on the Federal Court Advisory Committee and was recently appointed to the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners. Martin was appointed president/CEO of the Taylor Community in June 2009. He is involved in the community as a board member of Leading Age, Maine/NH and is also a board member of the International Affiliate of Leading Age.

PAULA HIUSER of Laconia has been appointed by Gov. John Lynch to the New Hampshire Motor Vehicle Services Board, which oversees disputes between automobile dealers and distributors in the state and automobile manufacturers. Hiuser is vice president of commercial sales assistants managers at TD Bank in Concord and has worked for more than 13 years in automobile dealerships.

BECKY REPOSA of Belmont was promoted to branch and business development manager at Meredith Village Savings Bank’s Gilford office. Reposa joined the bank in 1999 as a teller. She most recently served as branch services supervisor.

JERRY KINGWILL, president of Cobb Hill Construction in Concord, was elected to the 2013 Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Kingwill has completed the year-long Leadership Greater Concord program and the Business Management for Building Professionals and the Green Building for Building Professionals certification programs. He is the 2012 board chair of the Associated Builders & Contractors of NH/VT.

The following three attorneys from Rath, Young and Pignatelli of Concord were selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2013 Best Lawyers “Lawyers of the Year:” WILLIAM ARDINGER, tax law; M. CURTIS WHITTAKER, energy law; and LUCY HODDER, health care law.

TINA ANNIS and JEFFREY ZELLERS formed Annis & Zellers, Attorneys at Law at 2 S. State St. in Concord. Attorneys Annis and Zellers have more than 40 years of combined experience in the areas of estate planning, trusts, probate, tax, business and nonprofit law. Attorney Annis is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a frequent lecturer in the community on the subject of estate planning. Attorney Zellers is serving as chair of the Board of Directors of the Capital Region Health Care Corporation.

CARSON CISTULLI was approved for membership to the Baseball Writer’s Association of America. Cistulli will join more than 700 other active members who actively cover baseball for a newspaper, magazine or major website on a regular basis.

JOSH CLELAND, Franklin Pierce University professor, earned the Rose Excellence in Research Award for the Best Research Article of 2013 published in the field of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. Cleland also earned the John Medeiros Award Winning Paper of 2012 from the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy.

KRISTINE STODDARD joined the Bi-State Primary Care Association as the new director of New Hampshire Public Policy. Stoddard served for six years as a legislative research analyst at the Arizona House of Representatives.
