Unitil: Wind likely behind power outage in Bow
A pine tree in Bow knocked out power to nearly 3,000 Unitil customers yesterday.
Alec O’Meara, a Unitil spokesman, said the company suspects yesterday’s high wind toppled the tree near the Bow substation about 2:30 p.m. Crews were able to switch customers to a backup line while they repaired the main line.
By late afternoon, much of Concord’s customers had power again, O’Meara said. And as of 8 p.m., only Hampton and Kingston were still without power, according to Unitil’s website.
