Granite United Way will deliver $13.5 million in support

Granite United Way will deliver $13.5 million in support to local communities throughout New Hampshire and Windsor County, Vt., this year. This is a result of the recently completed grant fund process led by more than 152 volunteers across the state. Statewide, the grant funding process and donor designations awards $4.6 million to more than 140 programs that focus on improving health, income and education in local communities.

Penacook Community Center received $40,000 in grant funding from Granite United Way.

Other organizations receiving funds from Granite United Way in 2013 are Child and Family Services of New Hampshire; the Circle Program; Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties; Concord Boys & Girls Club; Concord Family YMCA; Copper Cannon Camp; Girls Incorporated of New Hampshire; Second Start; The Children’s Place and Parent Education Center; the Friends Program; the Mayhew Program; Pittsfield Youth Workshop; Tiny Twisters Child Care Center; White Birch Community Center; Community Bridges; Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire; Health First Family Care Center; Phoenix Houses of New England; Riverbend Community Mental Health; Blueberry Express Day Care Center; CATCH Neighborhood Housing; Concord Coalition to End Homlessness; Merrimack Valley Day Care Service; New Hampshire Legal Assistance; NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program and the Friendly Kitchen.
