CONCORD HOSPITAL’S Diabetes Self-Management Program was awarded the American Diabetes Association Education Recognition Certificate. The ADA believes this program offers high-quality education that is an essential component of effective diabetes treatment.
CONCORD HOSPITAL Payson Center for Cancer Care’s Anticancer Lifestyle Program received a grant contribution from the Farrah Fawcett Foundation to support two, 12-week sessions of the Anticancer Lifestyle Program. The program seeks to help patients self-manage their cancer in a supportive group environment.
SERVICE CREDIT UNION received
an A+ rating from Weiss Ratings. Weiss has awarded Ser-vice Credit Union with the top rating for several consecutive years.
NORTH BRANCH CONSTRUCTION of Concord received multiple awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors of VT/NH Safety Awards. North Branch received Second Place in the Over 50,000 Man-Hours category, as well as a Silver Level Safety Training and Evaluation Process award. The firm also received an award for Zero Cases Resulting in Lost Workdays in the Over 50,000 Man-Hours category.
COLBY-SAWYER COLLEGE received a four out of a possible five star rating for its LGBT-friendliness by Campus Pride, a national nonprofit organization. The college stood out in the areas of policy inclusion, student life, campus safety and counseling and health. Some of the school’s notable LGBT-friendly elements include the Safe Zones student group, open and supportive faculty and staff and gender-neutral bathrooms in Colgate Hall and several residence halls. The college also holds LGBT-friendly events throughout the year.
TANGER OUTLETS in Tilton made separate $1,000 donations to the Tilton-Northfield Fire Department and the Tilton Police Department.
TERRACON CONSULTANTS acquired NEW ENGLAND ENVIROSTRATEGIES of Concord. New England EnviroStrategies provides environmental consulting and water resources services. Terracon will retain all of New England EnviroStrategies’ employees, all of whom will be based in Terracon’s Manchester office to expand environmental services throughout the northeast.
MEREDITH VILLAGE SAVINGS BANK FUND awarded a $1,000 grant to Tamworth Caregivers. The funds will be used to supplement the organizations’ volunteer mileage reimbursement program.
CAPITAL CITY USED CARS in Concord added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the used car sales business. Capital City Used Cars can also offer a variety of moving supplies to its customers.
COBB HILL CONSTRUCTION of Concord was awarded the National Associated Builders and Contractors Safety Training and Evaluation Process Diamond award. Cobb Hill was recognized for its outstanding safety record of 1,983 days with no lost-time.
