Northeast Utilities names Bill Quinlan as new president of Public Service of New Hampshire
Bill Quinlan was announced yesterday as the new president and chief operating officer of Public Service of New Hampshire.
Quinlan is now senior vice president of emergency preparedness for Connecticut Light & Power, which like PSNH is owned by Hartford, Conn.-based Northeast Utilities.
He succeeds Gary Long, who stepped down as PSNH’s president this summer to focus his attention on the controversial Northern Pass project.
“Bill has been a valuable part of the NU family for 29 years. He has been successful in many leadership roles with the company and has a proven track record of operational excellence at CL&P,” said Lee Olivier, Northeast Utilities’s chief operating officer, in a statement. “He has an incredible depth of knowledge of our industry and an enthusiasm for continuously improving the efficiency and reliability of the electric system.”
