N.H. airport video seeks to attract business

A new video being shown at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is encouraging business travelers passing through the state to stick around.

The video, which runs continuously as travelers exit the terminal, was created by the New Hampshire High Tech Council to highlight what it says makes New Hampshire a great state in which to live and do business.

In addition to showcasing the council’s work, it also includes segments featuring the Department of Resources and Economic Development, the University of New Hampshire and Stay, Work, Play, an organization that serves as a resource for young people interested in living and working in the state. The latter used its contribution to highlight positive statistics about New Hampshire, including its low poverty rate.

UNH highlighted its support of the high-tech sector through research and programs such as the Emerging Technology Center.

“We knew that a unique format like a video with key messaging about our state would catch people’s attention and demonstrate the value proposition the state offers to launch, relocate and grow a business,” said Matt Cookson, the tech council’s executive director.

The five-minute video will be updated annually.
