LAURA PROVOST, financial adviser at Altus Investment Group in Concord, is now a full partner of the firm. Provost joined the firm in 2012, bringing more than 20 years of investment industry experience, including most recently her 12 years of wealth management and retirement planning experience. She works with individuals and small businesses.

JAMES STEINER, founder of the Steiner Law Firm in Concord, continues to be recognized as a Best Lawyer in America in the 2014 edition of Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession.

WERNER MULLER, a certified physician assistant, joins Concord Hospital Medical Group’s Concord Plastic Surgery in the Memorial Medical Office Building on the Concord Hospital campus.

LYN SCHOLLETT joined the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence as the new executive director. Schollett comes to New Hampshire from Illinois, where she served as the general counsel for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault for 16 years. She has a strong record of advocacy and dedication to combating domestic and sexual violence.

KRISTYN VAN OSTERN of Concord joined the Community College System of New Hampshire as director of strategic initiatives and programs. Van Ostern was senior manager for strategy and finance at Timberland in Stratham. She formerly served as New Hampshire budget director with the office of former governor John Lynch.

NEIL CASTALDO returned to Orr & Reno in Concord, where he first launched his career four decades ago. Castaldo’s work has focused on health care and corporate law, representing senior management and boards of trustees and directors. He has represented a majority of New Hampshire’s hospitals. He returns to the firm after serving since 2009 as chief legal counsel and adviser to the president at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Earlier, he founded the New Hampshire offices of the law firm of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder of Providence, R.I., and served on that firm’s management committee for many years.

RYAN BARTON of Laconia, president of Mainstay Technologies, is a finalist for the Rising Star Awards in the category of Young Professional of the Year. TONYA ROCHETTE of Concord, vice president of Human Resource Partners, is also a finalist. The awards are an initiative of Stay Work Play, in partnership with New Hampshire Public Radio. The Young Professional of the Year award honors an outstanding professional working and living in New Hampshire between the ages of 18 and 40 who is a rising star in their industry and giving back to their community. The awards will be presented 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Pandora Mill in Manchester.

LAURA BRUSSEAU of Laconia, a teacher at Interlakes High School, is also a finalist. The awards are an initiative of Stay Work Play, in partnership with New Hampshire Public Radio. The Civic Leader of the Year award honors an individual who, through their volunteerism, philanthropy and/or community involvement demonstrates a commitment to civic participation, strengthening their community and developing personal leadership capacity to make New Hampshire a better place for future generations. The nominee must be between 18 and 40 years old and live and work in New Hampshire. The awards will be presented 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Pandora Mill in Manchester.
