New Hampshire Bankers Association elects officers, directors for coming year

The New Hampshire Bankers Association elected officers and directors for the coming year during its annual meeting Sept. 6 at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont.

Members voted to elect Mark Primeau of Laconia, president/CEO of Bank of New Hampshire, as chairman. Primeau moved into this position after a year as vice chairman, succeeding Michael Long, president/CEO of Community Guaranty Savings Bank.

Also elected to the executive committee were Joseph Carelli, president of Citizens Bank – NH-VT, vice chairman; Samuel Laverack, president of Meredith Village Savings Bank, treasurer; and Gregg Tewksbury, president/CEO of Savings Bank of Walpole, secretary. Mark Pitkin, president/CEO of Sugar River Bank, was approved as a new member of the board. Re-elected to the board were Daniel Morrison, president/CEO of Optima Bank and Trust, and Kathryn Underwood, president/CEO of Ledyard National Bank.
