N.H. unemployment rate 5.1 percent for October

The New Hampshire Employment Security office said the state’s unemployment rate for October was 5.1 percent, a slight increase from September’s rate of 5 percent.

The August seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also was 5 percent.

In October 2012, the seasonally adjusted rate for New Hampshire was 5.7 percent.

Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate last month was 7.3 percent, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from September, and a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the October 2012 rate.
