N.H. unemployment rate unchanged from October
The New Hampshire Employment Security office said the state’s unemployment rate for November was 5.1 percent, unchanged from October.
In November 2012, the seasonally adjusted rate for New Hampshire was 5.7 percent.
Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate last month was 7 percent, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from October, and a decrease of 0.8 percentage points from the November 2012 rate.
Seasonally adjusted estimates for November 2013 placed the number of employed residents at 703,160, a decrease of 590 from the previous month and an increase of 1,200 from November 2012.
The number of unemployed residents decreased by 200 over the month to 37,620. This was 4,550 fewer unemployed than in November 2012.
