Letter: Shopping blindfolded in Epsom
Voting in favor of the Epsom town office renovation proposal, as described in the information packet passed out to interested taxpayers at the open discussion on Jan. 25, would be identical to shopping in Home Depot totally blindfolded. You would have no idea what you were getting for the buck.
I suggested that eight to 10 experienced contractors from this area be allowed to walk through the building for the purpose of comparing notes about the need for replacement or repair costs. I was told that no one would be allowed into the building. Remember the old days when the insurance companies required three estimates of repair of damages to your car ?
