Letter: Cryans for Executive Council
Mike Cryans is a former teacher and a senior vice president in banking. Born and raised in Littleton, he has 17 years’ experience as Grafton County commissioner. He is a bipartisan problem-solver who worked for 16 of those years side-by-side with longtime friend Ray Burton.
Burton, while serving as executive councilor, was also a fellow Grafton County commissioner. Burton endorsed Cryans for county commissioner in the most recent election and supported him as chairman of the commissioners in 2010 even though Republicans held a majority on the county commission.
Burton’s brother and two sisters have endorsed Cryans to succeed Burton. Read their strong endorsements at mikecryans.org, along with 48 more endorsements, including from 10 former state senators.
Cryans twice set the record for being the fastest New Hampshire resident in the Boston Marathon. With equal tenacity, he brings his tireless work ethic, honesty and intelligence to solving tough problems. He has a proven record of finding more cost-effective methods to administer government contracts. He saved 50 percent of projected construction costs of the Grafton County jail. He will ensure that state contracts and services are properly administered within District 1.
Cryans’s priorities include investing in northern New Hampshire’s economy, regional infrastructure, education and job training. He opposes New Hampshire sales and income taxes. He is a strong advocate for working families and raising the minimum wage. He will protect women’s reproductive rights. Please vote for Cryans for Executive Council on March 11.
